WHAT IS A NOTARY?
A notary is a lawyer and a member of the third branch of the legal profession. We are primarily involved in the preparation of documents and the authentication of clients’ identities and signatures principally for use abroad.
Notaries are appointed for life and regulated by the Faculty Office of the Archbishop of Canterbury. There are currently approximately 800 notaries in England and Wales.
All of our Notaries are also qualified solicitors. We are also authorised to carry out non-contentious legal work in England and Wales.
DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?
However we do recommend making an appointment in advance so as to not be held up if the Notaries are already seeing other clients.
